My name is Aseem Agarwala. I am a researcher
at Adobe Systems, Inc., and an
affiliate assistant professor at the University of Washington's Computer Science & Engineering
department, where I recently completed my Ph.D. after five years
of study; my advisor was David
Salesin. I
spent three summers during my Ph.D interning at Microsoft Research, and my
time at UW was supported by a Microsoft
fellowship.  Before UW, I worked for two years as a research
scientist at the legendary but now-bankrupt Starlab,
a small research company in Brussels,
Belgium.
Before that, I completed my Masters of Engineering and Bachelors of
Science at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology majoring in Computer
Science. While there I was a research assistant in the Computer Graphics Group in the
Laboratory for Computer Science
(LCS). I also did research at the Mitsubishi Electric Research
Laboratory. As an undergraduate I did research at the MIT Media Lab
